On the run and stressed.

One and a half days of drawing on the wall between trying to coordinate ongoing progress of my relocating to a new place and spastic attempts to keep some sort of normality. Awkward introduction to a new neighbors on the staircase, knowing that they will experience soon enough my noisy little dogs and my loud music.

Nikira, it's a very beautiful view. Has Bob given some advice, about how to capture this kind of complexity, the light and the atmosphere?

and it's possible to find some good, used books on Amazon, for learning about Jack Merriott's techniques, at very reasonable prices.

of course, the angle of the sunlight and sky is very different in your location, compared to North England and Scotland, where Bob is... still, it's good to meet the challenge of the complex scene you have.

for you, it could be a great self-learning and self-study project, from photos (maybe 4 or 5 of them), to preliminary sketches, to final.
.
for me, the most satisfying is the Merriott Abersysthwyth Study (the last link, below) - in fact, the pencil lines really add something to the "sketchiness" and feelings - "quick and dirty".

Thank you, CrimsonLeaves. Really I have no time for finishing the mural, but people pressing, they have their own life. And with my own projects I am so much behind because of the extensive prep work. Afraid I'll forget how to draw. In my dream I flew to Texas, ticket seller asked me of the town of my destination and I didn't know where I am flying. Anywhere. :-)

Thank you, Larry, I am a bit embarrassed about this mural because people want fast, fast, and my mind is elsewhere. I will have to rush and postpone that mural, probably. :/

John, thank you very much for your advice. I will look into books, and thank you for interesting links. My thought was , of course, could be watercolor impression of relationships of big forms, water, ground and sky. But if I'll do it in ink, I like to look into details, and than it is endless.
The landscape is different every time I look, like mountains, different weather, time of the day, light.
Interesting feeling, that I am so high up, so close to the sky, so far away from everything and everybody, that it makes me question a lot about why, what for, where from, personal responsibility.
