My Shin Gansai watercolors.

My 20 year old set by Holbein and something new I got on Ebay. Completely different pigments.

January doodle.

I carry my Moleskine everywhere, and whenever I have a minute to myself, I take it out and scribble, even wipe my brush at lunch, even add a memo to myself. So this sketch went through Subway trip, Luster stone sponge, evening tea with my favorite french blue mints, stare at my military phone and to do list.

78 street in Brooklyn. NY. I decide to fool around with colored pencils on the top of my beloved ink. And The was unnecessary. :-)

I have 3 Moleskines in my work book bag daily: planner, sketchbook, old planner for scribbling and old info. Don't you think its a little too obsessive?  :-)

Faces.

Hard to draw in such crowded space when people facing each other, so I had to fold myself into something not noticeable.

A little bit of love.

Taken from my phone. He squeezed himself into my work room and start expressing love, so I could not throw him from the table.

My Greatest Triumph.

When I was 20, I rode horses, swam,  rode a bike, skied, but I never ice skated. My best friend, who visited me for sketching on weekends, once told me, there should be nothing in this world you can't do, she said, trust me. And after midnight, when yard was empty, we went to the ice skating rink. Since that it was our little secret, we skated at night for years. She died 22 years ago. And I never ice skated since then. And never will.

Neptune Ave, Brooklyn.

It was too dark and too cold to draw. I need headlight like Lapin has and fingerless gloves like Gabi Campanario has.  Or I have to move to Florida to draw palm trees. Lamy Safari in pocket moley and running nose.

F Train.

On the way home from Manhattan I sketched this stripy man. We went to our wonderful dentist, Inna helped him with Facebook and I bought a lot of hot sugary nuts. I finished sketch at home with Tradio.
In the evening I showed to Inna amazing works by Stoneturtle, his drawings for "Master And Margarita".

Click on the link in Russian under each of his drawings to see it larger.

Last Chance.

While my friends were skiing, I sketched at the frozen parking lot in the middle of snowy village my daughter's favorite restaurant "Last Chance". Food is nice and the owner is a sweetheart. You can get there amazing violet gum and mints, old fashioned, smelling like perfume.
