Questions about my Wyvern Smokers pencil.

"The pocket clip is in a beautiful Art Deco design.
The top of the pencil is used as a pipe bowl packer.  Inside there is a stem which is used for loosening tobacco and clearing tobacco from the bowl.
The stem makes an ideal cigar piercer."

This what I got from other websites. I cleaned insides with needle and cleared a way. I can't disassemble it. I tried different size lead, nothing works properly. Pretty short lead way.
1.18 mm is too thick.
0.9 mm is too thin.
Eversharp Red Top fits the best, but still too loose and falling out. I am not sure what size is Eversharp Red Top.
What should I do to find the right lead? It says Pat. 472380 , Wyvern Smokers pencil, Made in England.

I haven't seen such a pencil before. Well there was an uncommon old 1mm in between 0.9 and 1.18mm but that would seem strange to use that. Usual questions - sure its not a square lead? Do you have any of the original lead left at all?

Hi, David, thank you, no lead inside, seems like round hole. How to find 1mm? I wrote to somebody in England, who sells same pencil, no answer yet. It was popular, I guess, because I saw it being sold over time. Mine doesn't close fully on the back. Eversharp Red Top fits the best but still falling out. Don't know where to look for leads?

Really great old pencil! I'd suggest contacting Richard Binder at richardspens.com and see what he has to say. He may have exactly what you need on hand, and if not may be able to help you find it. He can also fix it up for you if you want anything done with it. Good luck!

Thank you very much Maethelwine for your advice, I will do it, because I feel very sad not to use this beautiful pencil for drawing.
