I wrote "memories" in Japanese. It has sort of nostalgic feel to it, how I see it in my mind, in sepia, through the shadow of eyelashes, a bit fading, but happy. In reality, when we tired and hungry, sometimes, getting of the train it is a sweet pleasure to pick up here something on the way home, sushi or soup and eat (with a lot of pickled ginger for me) and watch TV or just chat about today's happenings or plans for tomorrow.
I used ink on old piece of watercolor paper. I used up all ink on it and now up to another trip to my big ink bottle, a happy event.

just fantastic -- so evocative AND makes me hungry for my favorite spicy tuna roll and some uni...beautiful.
Nikira, you are always so busy and I find myself amazed that you turn out such beautiful pieces around your commission work.
Great image and I specifially love the manequins next door. Just lovely!!
Thank you very much, Christy P! My favorite rolls with eel. Wanted to draw this place for a long time. :-)
CrimsonLeaves, I am busy, but it is not that much with commissioned work. Sometimes project is only 2 days a week, sometimes it is longer, but it takes time to go and talk, and do samples, figure out, plan. So life of typical struggling artist. Every moment I have free from thinking about how to pay bills this month goes into drawing and sketching. :-)
Thank you very much, Donna. It would make a nice series, btw, mannequins, especially on Brighton. I should try it. :-)
