Ink mostly. I used sparkly inks, it didn't scan, and other silver and gold shimmer canno't be seen here. -
I drew in pencil, than with Falcon. I love this pen, just to screw and unscrew the cap fills me with joy. -

This is just so stunning, Nikira. Sometimes when I see all the fabulous work that you artists do, I find myself realizing just how little talent I do have. Today is one of those days.

I learned not to give up even if Drawing doesn't go the way I want, but before tearing it up, I try to cover all aspects like tonal value, composition, etc.
I am sure, you have your own visual language and message you want to say, something no one else have. Trust me, I have pangs of pain from some one else's works, sometimes. It is only makes me happier, that I can grow. :)
Niki, where could I learn more about what you're discussing here? I really admire the tonality of your work and I need to learn more about using color effectively to create moods.
Hi, Katherine! I heard many times from different artists about importance of tonal value in painting, that only color won't hold composition, unless it is totally abstract. I can't tell in what book, don't remember, I sort of came to it myself. Of course, color creates mood and many exercises exists for it. My thought is to learn from nature. I always wanted to do a painting, even experimental, looking at the seashell, or stone, or pink nosed cat. May be it will happened one day. :)
