Sketching in Gamma.

  • Sketching in Gamma sketchbook with new too soft Faber-Castell 2 mm pencil. Nail salon and on the way. I got new pencil, really awesome, Faber-Castell, 2 mm, with led sharpener built in,  but change the led in it to F grade, because on that juicy paper of Stillman & Burn Gamma sketchbook every pencil looks brighter and softer. It comes with HB.
  • I finally decide to unwind and pamper myself in one of the best nail salons, in Bay Ridge, where pedicure comes with intense massage, including massage with hot rocks, honey scrub, massage chairs, wax treatment, etc. I did quick sketch, adding touch of color with very old reddish-brownish pencil, I found in my draw forgotten.

These are awesome drawings. Even before I read your words, I was thinking how soft and smooth your lines seem. I like that gentle flowing style that you achieve with pencils. Im going to investigate the Faber Castell pencil that you mentioned. For smooth graphite pencils, so far, my favorites are the Tombow.

Thank you very much, Katherine. I find lead a bit too soft, it will need fixative to prevent smudges. I should post photo of the pencil, I got it on Ebay. Very comfortable and sleek. :)

I totally agree with Katherine, though I must admit I thought you were sketching someone about to have a baby. Yeesh! I don't think I got enough sleep last night! LOL

CrimsonLeaves! I thought about it too, that women looked like midwifes! Interesting place to sketch, so peaceful.
