I had to go crazy bright, to support beautiful paintings they had in the kitchen on both sides. People wanted it bright.
It was fun to go wild with colors, I added touch of poly for durability, but it was hard to move paint.
I felt it was like abstract painting. Music was glaring, too much Chinese food (good one), eating on the porch, last day after a brief rain, my pants got soaking wet from the chair on the porch. It was fast and I miss it already.

I really like what you've done here, Nikira! Can't imagine you getting this done "fast" as you say. Looks like hundreds of hours of work.
I really love their paintings, especially the one in the third photo. Do you know who the artist is?
Thank you, CrimsonLeaves! It was about 20 hours in this room. I think, kitchens should be the brightest and happiest rooms of the house, because it is the place where families gather, cook together, share secrets and laughs, where food looks pretty and smells inviting.
I don't know the name of the artist, I think, it is the same artist? It is not real paintings, copies or photos made under the lacquer, into the wood. They got it at auction somewhere. Seems the first name is Trish, I will try to Google it, I like it very much.
