Morning coffee.
It is every day little ritual, making coffee. My favorite time of the day, when everything is promising, starting, possible. I wanted to do it in sepia, like you see it through eyelashes just awakening eyes.

Getting gas in NJ.
Our usual stop for gas in NJ. Alex went to get coffee and "Subway" sandwich and I had fun. Color added later with my Pentel 8-in-1 pencil.

West 6 street in Brooklyn.
We went to get cat and dog food in "Pet delight", so my husband left me alone in the car for 15 min with Lamy Safari. That was so refreshing.

Waiting in the medical office.
Sitting too close to other people, while waiting in the medical office, didn't let me draw easily, so only one sketch in sepia.

Wish you where here.
This is for April challenge on SkineArt "Wish you where here." I did portrait of my mother in silver point and Moleskine book in front. I got recently 2 pencils with silver wire from Bob from Scotland. Amazing. What a warm and wonderful person he is. I just expressed interest in it and he sent it to me.
I am really happy that I try to put my visual thoughts on paper, no matter how hard sometimes it feels to draw it. This what my first teacher use to say, do it, even it feels sometimes you don't have enough skills or energy.

Deadly lines. Monthly challenge in SkineArt.
Deadly lines. Who are they? Where are their dreams? They are us, we live their dreams, we dream their lives.

Ruins.
Morning exercise instead of breakfast, have to go for blood test breakfasless. Than will spoil myself with bagels and caviar (bought cheap on Brighton). Today looked at my eldest cat Chuckie, he has front teeth missing, and thought, he, probably says "Shmeow" instead of "Meow"...

Update on murals.
Towards the end. Client wants small boat with the lady with parasol and barefooted boy fisherman. Will do it later, when fabric will come for cabana.
Need some work in front, rocks, grass, reflection on the water, work on 2 birds. Later.
Wall with the fountain. Fountain built in, in the middle would be lion face or rosette. Some texture on the bricks done with plaster. Edge in front is pretty cool, looks real, this tiles. Flowers and leafs need more work. All later, when fabric will be delivered. Fabric would be faded blue and cream stripes, like at old french beaches.

Bouquet.
Bouquet, drawn with hair dye (organic), used for turning Pig into raccoon by striping his tail. Reminds me drawing on rice paper, something to do with Sumi-e.

Corner of 64 str.
Today after buying chinese sweets for lunch (no food at home), I sketched this sunny street, italian and jewish neighborhood. Amazing aromas of cooking food, I can only imagine what herbs and spices where used for that meat, flew in my car windows. People passed, children played outside, sun, love in the air. Than I saw a bаld guy in a shirt with the sign : "I don't discriminate, I hate everybody." That was pretty weird. What planet he fell from?

Second day spent on murals.
Columns and moldings also faux finished as antiqued, all was white plaster before, and balustrade painted on the top.
This one with rotunda.

May 4.
You would think that after spending the whole day painting a mural all drawing itches would be gone at night, but no. So another scribbling about my day and little things I met and email-reminder about tomorrow's plans. Ink, colored pencils.

Sketch for mural, watercolor.
This was done with my old Shin Gansai set of watercolors. This delicate blues and greens I like. Composition suppose to be extremely stretched vertically. Now I need to work out an architectural structure, so tomorrow I wont have a minute wasted.

Kawasaki.
I used Kuretake 13 brush pen, I thought ink is not gonna be touched by water, but when I used Inktense pencils and water brush ink got washed out a bit.
Here is Photoshoped version, I think really cool. Now I'll drag myself outside to get some food and fresh air.
