Fellini and Liza exploring their new toy. What an emotional day was today. For us, people. Not because of cats of course. Because of trust.

Evening.
We stuck Upstate for a while, car broke in the middle of snowy village. So it was nothing else to do in the forest but drink wine, look at the fire, talk, sketch, pat a cat and sleep.

East 23 street in Brooklyn.
Overwhelmed by so many decisions to make I catch my breath by sketching this dirty, snowy, cozy street.

Staten Island.
Hills, crooked streets, utterly provincial but charming. I was freezing in the car but had fun sketching.

Auto shop in Brooklyn, NY.
Auto shop. I went to get new tires and while guys where working enjoyed eyeballing all this wonderful machinery and did couple of sketches. And got permission to come and draw whenever I want. Is not cool? This car is Dodge something from 60-70. Ink in WC Molly.

French restaurant in Manhattan, NY.
After visiting Tim Burton's exhibit in MOMA my daughter and I went to eat in a small restaurant. We had nice conversation, like in good old times, so I wanted to stop the moment and enjoy it beyond it physical frame.

6 Ave in Manhattan.
Went to Moma to see Tim Burton. Was waiting at the corner for my daughter and sketched, was asked by police woman if I am drawing a map. I said, no, passing time, waiting for my kid.

64 street in Brooklyn.
I parked so tight (rushing to the doc), half inch on each side, I didn't know I can do it. If I wont enjoy so much being a woman, I definitely wanna be a man! So I start sketching, hoping someone in front or back of my car will move out and free me. Didn't happen. But sketch was done. Ink in pocket Molly.

Waiting.
I told my daughter, that I am the only person in the world who wont mind to wait for her to come down to the car for so long as it took her. She laughed. I sketched.

Colgate lake. Trees.
I went today at the Colgate Lake and sketched the view, and I didn't notice till the end of my work, that I took two spots on the handicapped parking, because for the better view I parked across it. Nobody said a word to me, people with dogs, kayak, in purple hat, fisherman. They struggled on the road sides. Piglet barked meanly from the back seat. Anyway it was not legal to park anywhere. So this why the watercolor is shameless.

Driving
I wanted to show mood, when all you see is couple of red lights you follow. It is road 87. And you dreaming that when you'll come home you'll have a glass of wine and put logs in the wood stove.

84 street in Brooklyn.
Sketch done from the car with sepia ink in pocket Moleskine. My School-G pen works a little smoother. I was enjoying the intimacy of this small street, people, knowing each other, kids, dragging bags from school. Quiet life.

End of the line.
About fate, end of life, being blind to reality. Parcae(roman) - goddess of fate, one of the three of them, ripping the thread of human life.
This is translation of the poem, I wrote as a teen:
And by girl to run at the park,
Rolling the hoop between white statues,
To yet not know sullen Parcae,
Not to perceive itself with cursed.

Train Station near Coney Island.
This place is near New York Aquarium. The shape of train station kinda interesting with waves and long openings. I even planned to use it for interior decoration in big office in Manhattan, like an installation, but it was out of budget, so stayed in dreamland.
