Israeli.

Ink and mixed media. Shimmering stuff I used, doesn't scan and gold glitter also doesn't show, but it's here. I met this young guy and we had interesting conversations, he recommended me few pretty sharp music groups, which I added to my iPod playlist. He is a modern young boy, but he knows how to talk to G-d. Amazing. Modern and ancient. Young and wise.

I got flowers.

I got flowers for March 8. I love Hyacinth, they smell so nice, so strong. Here is a painting I am doing for someone. It is far from being done. I will need some hint of wings. The cat died, so early, young, he was loved very much.

I got myself some art materials to brighten up my day

and start using it right away. Brush turned to be a bit too

soft  for my liking, but inks are gorgeous.

Pumpkins.

Pumpkins. Experimenting on plastic paper. Pretty strange, ink doesn't stick to it, but I fought to the end, just to understand, I don't like it.

Painting Sukkahs and a big challenge.

Painted few Sukkahs on panels for Holiday Sukkot. Here is Tomb of Mother Rahel, the Mother of Sorrows.  I spent a day for each painting, in one day I did 2 paintings, crazy long days. Panels are pretty big, walls for Sukkahs. On the top going bamboo branches, so you can see stars through the roof, while celebrating holiday.

The City of David, was pretty challenging, to build all this structures in perspective and in proportion.

Kotel was the first I did and I struggled a lot, to keep all this lines dancing on panels.

This was big and fiberglass bumpy, so paint was sliding like crazy and lines danced, pretty hard, so almost with my eyes closed I finished it.

Also on fiberglass panel. This and a previous one I did in one day. It was useful experience and big challenge. I had shawarma twice, it was not as amazing as in "Olympic Pita", our favorite shawarma and falafel place, also I ate it alone, but still it was a small  highlight of the day.

Sample with metallic glazes.

Did few samples, among them this one, with metallic glazes, hopefully I will get to paint oriental motif there, in the show room.

In this studio, not mine, borrowed for a day. Its nice there.  Will have to use it for another 4 compositions, as soon as I will prepare it.

Marie.

Someone, I met and wanted to say thank you. It is so hard in this hectic life to stick to your word. I used ink and Kuretake.

Lunch and more glass.

Running errands and managed this page in my strange sketchbook.

Here is a photo of my beautiful lunch. I don't have time to draw it and miss ink terribly, but glass is the main priority, because all 12 pieces have to be installed on time.

Here is "Shabbat".

Yom Kippur.

Simchat Torah.

Preparing myself for the 4th one.

ChipShop.

I added color and sharpen up some tonal values. I used ink and Kuretake on Fabriano Artistico.
This British pub located in Park Slope, in Brooklyn, with walls decorated in royal, Beetles and punk rock of 80's memorabilia, with HP sauce on the shelves, with authentic english food was pretty interesting. And Haddock fish was delicious. So it was fun to eat, drink beer and sketch.

Car.

Hard to say goodbye to my car. Not only because I can't  buy a new one like that, but because it was taken from us so suddenly by the black water of the ocean, cutting it in its prime, cutting off the slice of life. Somehow it put a dot on our previous adventures connected to the Car, our happy trips Upstate, our secretive escapades Downtown, my drawing ventures. I miss it dearly. Feels sort of I let it die, like neglected pet. Unfair.
May be it is brought up from the Old World I came from, where things were given a deeper meaning, where it was more connected to people's lives, almost given a life of its own?
We liked that it was big, we like to sit high up, we liked that it was black color and had loud speakers, which echoing electronic beat so nicely, we liked window on the roof, that you can stand, stick out, laugh and let the wind to chew your hair and duck down when see sheriff's car on the road.
I used ink, Kuretake, I used salt, sort of imitating what really happened.

4 marble columns.

I did 4 marble columns over the weekend in a beautiful house and met few wonderful people.

They had amazing coffee for me, coffee machine from Switzerland. I was eating lunch near the pool with statues of Venus looking marble women and dreaming of starting new ink soon, as soon as I will finish Diamine ink sample.

Now I am up to another "crazy" adventure at 8 am in further part of Brooklyn.

Today's work, I did sky and columns.

Here is the sky I did above the wooden structure.
7 columns ( I think it was 7 or 8 of them around the room) antiqued and faux finished, imitating stone.
Here is the room without alcove light, blue is pretty sharp, but room will be always with the light on.
The woodwork there was stunning, this is one of the doors of the bookshelf.  Pretty good day, well spent, with lunch on the bench outside, in T-shirt, consuming my beloved sprats and gazing on spanish guy with the van cutting  metal sheet without goggles.
