Pencil sketch.

I am being greedy and drawing on both sides of the page in wonderful Delta sketchbook by Stillman & Birn, which I am carrying with me through the day. This time I went to medical office for a few minutes, auto shop to change breaks, spent few minutes waiting in the car near train station, wrote down the recipe for the hair mask, so my all day is drawn on this page in crumbling sketches on the top of each other.
Strong paper sustained multiple
washes. I want to find Faber-Castell water soluble pencil to add to my bunch. For a while I take with me in a pencil case few water soluble pencils and can't get enough of it.

Dentist.

This is commissioned piece, a little different. It is about a dentist, view from the mouth, and on the back funny tools : hummer, nails, glue, contact cement. I had fun doing that. Used my usual stuff: ink and Kuretake with help of Lamy Safari.

Another couple of quick sketches Upstate to seal the day.

Watercolor of rocks in Stillman and Birn Delta sketchbook.

Quick sketch before breakfast to try my new plastic mixing palette. Watercolor and Lamy Safari pen in Stillman and Birn Delta sketchbook. Testing how Delta takes watercolor and I like it, it lets puddles stop and go, and even allows fountain pen scribblings in wet.
I was thinking to use this plastic palette with small watercolor boxes like Bijou or other Winsor&Newton set, it is light and smallest I found to carry around.

86 Noodles.

Pretty famous place for best Chinese and bit of Thai food in Brooklyn, on 86 street, Bay Ridge, loved by young people. Even if we have to drive for pick up (they don't deliver so far), it is still worth it. Unless I get creative and compose some special meal, lets say mixing Thai recipe with Armenian. Recently I bought bunch of interesting sauces, coconut milk, tofu and wine in Chinese store.
I used J.Herbin ink and Kuretake pens on Fluid pad. Touched with Lamy Safari pen, I forgot how rich and thick this pen's lines.

Flippers.

Rainy evening, I didn't go anywhere, I drew my flippers, I prepared for a swim in the lake. On the top I did exercise from this wonderful book I am reading about Pen and Ink. I used a little bit of watercolor, sepia ink and Lamy Safari pen. Nib on Lamy Safari says EF extra fine, but if feels more like serious medium.

Under the train, traffic.

I missed using Lamy Safari with ink, responding to water brush. I add Faber-Castell colored pencils for the sky.

For my friends.

This is a present for my friends. They are moving far away. I am thankful for our beautiful friendship for so many years. Now rushing to their Goodbye Party. As an idiot I framed it before scanning, so colors are a little dim behind the glass. :-)

Dead end.

Fifteen minutes in the car, waiting and watching black cat hunting a bird, drawing spastically with Lamy Safari.

West 6 street in Brooklyn.

We went to get cat and dog food in "Pet delight", so my husband left me alone in the car for 15 min with Lamy Safari. That was so refreshing.

Neptune Ave, Brooklyn.

It was too dark and too cold to draw. I need headlight like Lapin has and fingerless gloves like Gabi Campanario has.  Or I have to move to Florida to draw palm trees. Lamy Safari in pocket moley and running nose.
