Very cozy looking.
Combination of flat paint and glazing.
Took me a while to mix the color, on photos it looks more red than wine. I used glaze extender, pricey but it worth it. No wonder I loved chemistry. I like when people happy. A lot of positive energy.

Little sketch on the run.
I was happy to sketch a little bit with my antique triangle pencil. Mostly driving, no time to sketch, hope to draw something tomorrow.

Mirado leads.
I sketched Eagle Mirado box of antique leads, I got on Ebay for my antique pencils sometime ago. It is really hard to know real size of a lead, because often people who sell it know very little of origin or history of leads or pencils they sell. It was advertised as multiple colors, but came in blue only. So I really would like to swap some of the boxes, I think it is 12 of them in this square box, but don't know how to find people with leads. I start sketching people in airport, but my aunt came too soon, so afterwords drew this box on the top of other sketches.

Inna in April.
Another portrait of Inna. No matter how close I get to the subject it is nearly impassible to catch an absolute feeling. May be it is easier with people we don't know? I am always angry at myself for allowing emotions to carry me up and down and I didn't win today again. But I had fun with ink I mixed and green Kuretake H20 on old watercolor paper. And 2 green Kuretake pens for eyes, Twin and Clean Color. I used only one ink but it broke in few colors, cool.

Liza cat.
Here inking of Liza. It is hard to draw her even she may stay on the same spot for long with day dreaming look. She is the sweetest and very sensitive cat. She likes to talk and answers on every word of yours. She still runs and jumps like she use to, bumping into walls no more. Whenever I am upset she is the first to rub her head against me and lick my hand, looking into my face. Everyone loves her, us, cats, dogs and our friends. I still didn't catch her kind expression, so more drawings of Liza to come. I used Ink and Kuretake H20.

Corvette on Ave V.
A little bit too industrial looking street, Ave V in Brooklyn, but for me car compensate for it, white color of this car was shining like morning sun. I used couple of inks and few Kuretake brushes.

As usual.
I named it As Usual, meaning that it is a usual day and my usual routine visit, which allowed me to enjoy the view and produce this drawing with my usual art tools and ink. I had a lot of fun with ink and few Kuretake pens, my fingers still stained from mixing ink. I like this earthy color and left it airy, not too much contrast and minimum color.

Uranius Multifunction pen.
Here is sketch over sketch and some writing from the book I am reading, one of the books I am reading, because it is 5 of them. The book I got as a present from my friend called "How to read Chinese paintings". It is really interesting and enlightening. This is one of the things I would like to do one day to study Sumi-e and Japanese language. On the top I drew this interesting pen Uranius Multifunction, on one side it is rollerball on the other - brush. In white circles I drew endings of this pen. It is sleek and a bit heavy, because it is metal, and on the left cap has to be unscrewed, I love it. I used Ink and Kuretake brushes, white pencil and couple of colored pencils.
Royal Seafood.
This is store at the beginning of Brighton Beach, corner of Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn. If you are in the mood for nice seafood salad or smoked eel, or caviar, or running out of time and hate shopping this store is good for you. Also here is the cheapest sunflower oil, which I like for salad dressings. Here I used ink, few Kuretake pens and decide to outline with delicious Namiki Falcon pen with sepia ink. I like to distress edges of paper, makes it look more vintage, I think.

Talens Rembrandt watercolor, I got on Ebay, from London.
Main view.
Hope the logo and lettering is showing. It says beneath the logo "Rembrandt. made in apeldoorn holland"
View from the top.
View from the bottom. No legs, ring is not secured. I am wondering how old this set could be? Paints seems in very good condition, very responsive. I will have to place colors in a bit different order, how I accustomed to: white, yellows, reds, blues, greens, browns, gray, black.

Cocoiro pen.
Another page in my drawing diary, where I sketched on the go and wrote whatever is interest me at the moment. On the top drew Cocoiro pen, really charming little thing I keep in my Kuretake jar. It is good for detailing and lettering and really pleasurable to hold.
Graduation.
Sort of combination of few things, but merely my feelings when I got this envelope in mail. I used ink, 3 of them, Kuretake brushes and new blue brush Bienfang, and tried Aquaflo brush. I wish my scanner would be twice as big. I should let them know and other couple of innovations I will suggest. Paper didn't fit properly.

Feminite.
I named in French, it felt better. I decide to try another paper, pad, I bought, I think, Upstate in Home Goods, It was French sketchbook, I lost first page, cover, so don't know the name. This paper, even thick, does not except ink and water the way WC paper does, so I struggled a bit and drew more violent. Then I took it out of spirals.
