Portrait of a Young business woman.

I used ink and Kuretake. She is in business, connected to education, this why the book is here.

Maytal.

Portrait of Maytal. She is really beautiful girl. I used ink and drop of Inktense pencils leftover,  smudged on plastic lid I use for palette sometimes. On Arches watercolor block, grain torchon, 140 lb. I have only 4 pages left.  Size 9"x12"
I have one bigger from old times, 12"x16", but it won't fit into scanner and it will take me much longer to do because of the size. That would be good to paint on easel somewhere in he fields of France, may be, one day...

September 27.

Sketching a little bit with pencil Shorty. I sharpened it straight across in an angle, I feel lead is too dry, too hard. Where to get softer? May be Ebay, Koh-I-Noor? I drew on Moleskine plain paper. People mostly so sad.

Train sketches.

F train seats are really uncomfortable, you just facing the whole row of people, no privacy at all. So I sketched in little squared Moleskine really fast, so people won't get mad, that I  looked at them. Pencil Shorty.

Another one.

I combined pages from my Moleskine and tried to do gradient overlay in PS, as wonderful artist Ester told me (she posted the whole tutorial in may on her site, thank you so much again, Ester), but , of course, being a newbie in PS, I messed around without big success. So here more quick drawings, where I tried to catch proportion and character.

Doc's office.

Sketching people with Shorty is real fun, I don't mind waiting, I, actually, like long lines as long as nobody touches my right elbow.

Waiting room.

Sketched with Shorty pencil, no eraser involved,  I like that one lead has such a variety of darkness.

Subway faces.

Subway cars shaking and jumping, so as my hand with precious Falcon. But drawing made my trips back and forth to the City much more tolerable, even so late.

Quiet Wednesday.

Sketches in the doctor's office and Jack Daniels from the concert Upstate. Jack is probably now finished in Manhattan and I spend my day drawing present for my daughter's friend's Birthday. Only colors left and I'll try sparkly glaze. Tomorrow evening, may be.
