Simha.
Dancing men. I was trying to reflect joy and inner peace of spirituality in everyday life. It could be a holiday or someone's celebration. Freedom to express your feelings and share. I played with textures and movements and had fun with ink and Twin Kuretake brush pen.

Fellini sleeping.
Snapped him on my phone. Enlarged. Is not he adorable? Thats the only time when he gives me some freedom, poor mutant.

Porch with Blackwing 602.
Sketched with Palomino Blackwing 602 while talking to my friend about drawing, feelings, life. Drawing not always bringing peaceful and calm pleasure, very often if burns you from inside and you feel helpless and nervous. I think we are so much the same in a lot of ways. So more reason to love.

View from the bedroom balcony.
Really quick sketch before breakfast from the bedroom balcony. Moleskine paper doesn't allow any movement of the ink. Start outlining with Uranus, but left for breakfast.

In a process.
I got my Blackwing 602 and started to use it trying to make it smaller so it will fit into my pencil case. Didn't finish this drawing yet.

Small town Upstate.
As one of my favorite poets Anna Achmatova said once :" If you only knew from what garbage poems grows..." Hard to translate, she is not translatable, once I wanted to buy her in English translation for my daughter, I looked through the book and almost puked with horror. I decide I either have to read it to her in Russian or she'll grow up without knowing Achmatova.
Anyway, this drawing grew from yellowish greasy spot right in middle of the paper, now gently blending with the sky. I started with ink, but decided to add some color and end up using all my colorful brush pens Kuretake, Faber Castell and few Bienfang pens. Outlined with Uranus Multipen. Took way too long, but I am glad I did it.

June 20 sketch.
Started with hard antique triangle pencil, finished with softer Palomino Blackwing. I ordered Blackwing 602, which suppose to replicate famous Ebernard Faber Blackwing.

Shul.
Last piece. Shul with music coming out. I did some notes in gold, it doesn't scan well, doesn't show, but will play under the glass. Tomorrow I will bring it to the City, frame it and help with hanging in the place.
