October 30, Brooklyn.

Autumn in Brooklyn. I used ink I mixed, this time it is less brown, I kinda like it, towards Noodler's Lexington Gray. One day I want to get Lexington Gray and Walnut inks. I like light sad vintage monochrome coloring, reminding old movies or faded photographs, like memories, when you remember feelings, but not sure of shapes. On the top is my list, I didn't plan to use the whole spread, but brunches looked so interesting, so I let it be.

Umbrella.

I am into ink nowadays. I should mix more of this ink, it wont be the same, and its ok. White creates such a contrast with yellow Moleskine. Drizzling, light, peaceful.

Sketches on the run with Blackwing.

Still exploring Blackwing pencil abilities. This time used my last year Moleskine pocket diary, because I feel bad to use sketch Moley for such simple sketches, never know when people will leave and I wont finish. Today was appointments day, my last one ended at 10 pm, didn't draw enough. 

Meal.

First page in my new Moleskine, Skizzenbuch. Paper seems more yellow than in previous, Red Moleskine, more antique look.  I used ink here.

Inna and Pig.

This is last page in my red Moleskine, already one part of the jacket. I wanted it to be about love. It started on April 13 with dead Nikita and ends with love and hope. Pig has a little hat, canvas top from a jar with preserved fruits.  Ink and white in Moleskine.

Car- my work station.

My favorite work station. Holbein collapsable water container hanging on the steering wheel. W/N watercolor set with double palette. Pig on the back seat to keep me company. :-)

Silver blocks.

Metallic over textured blocks with chocolate grout.

I enjoy doing textures, even I like earthy organic colors better.

Golden ceiling.

Hero pen with ballerina nib, people asked me about.

Hero M86 pen with bent forward nib, very good for quick sketching, because gives you different width of the line, when you turn it around. I love the way it looks too.

Blackwing sketches.

Dragged with me small Hemp sketchbook and Blackwing pencil, dressed in handsome blue eraser-hat Kum, lead protector, reminds me dorky woolly winter hat. Drew when I had a minute of quiet time. Very soft lead, needs fixative, but smooth and so responsive. Tried to lift up my mood with pastries, didn't help much. I  am thinking a lot for the past year about how it will be to live without emotions, in total chemical silence.

Traffic light.

Used Hero pen with ballerina nib, turning on both sides, getting different line width, in my red Moleskine. This is the last spread. I have one more page left, already part of the jacket... Why fall is so upsetting, even smell of coffee doesn't help?

Bookstore in Hunter Village.

Wonderful moment of sketching from the car on empty street with ink in Holbein sketchbook, after I got honey cream in honey store and then search for franks, which is not easy in this quiet season. Checked books there, nothing grabbed my attention and art exhibit was closed for no reason.

Rosetta Da Vinci pencil.

My new 5.6mm pencil in the middle. I like it's size, pretty small, like Shorty, but heavier, because made from metal, I like the feeling of strong machine like body (promising to work hard) and soft grip. I got dark brown lead with it, pretty hard, so wont smudge much. I have other leads from old times.

Outdoor colors, but good for earthy, deep color solutions.

Porch.

Did sketch with brown lead 5.6 thickness in new clutch pencil, metal, heavy. It is, probably, good for quick impressions, but not detailed studies. I like this earthy coloring, lead is pretty hard. I got sharpener also for that lead width. Added ink wash and a little bit black ink with Kutertake 13 brush pen.
